HTML 5 to replace Flash?



Opera's CEO Jon von Tetzchner claimed that the next generation of the HTML standard language for Adobe's Flash technology will become redundant, he said that compared to proprietary Flash, HTML 5 in the open standard provides a rich media content delivery feasible.

Since 2004, Opera, Apple and Mozilla to start working together to develop standards for HTML 5. HTML 5 contains a large number of changes, such as new control audio and video content of the API. Von Tetzchner said the deal with HTML 5 features rich media content for use of the most popular Flash becomes unnecessary, users do not need Flash Web standards can do.

Von Tetzchner said that this does not mean to kill the Flash, he said, "I like Adobe, they are an excellent company. I think Flash will exist for a long time, but also a natural evolution of Web standards .. .. "Users can choose to use Flash to deliver Web standard or rich media content.
